Once a year District 2 has what is known as its Annual Clean-up. Our annual clean up is designed to give residents a chance to dispose of solid waste at a greatly reduced price. Plus we offer home pick up for seniors and handicap residents.

 

As you may imagine with a job of this magnitude, we are in need of support of businesses and residents. Many businesses donate food, hot and cold beverages, fruit, snacks, gloves, rain gear, safety glasses, hand warmers, plus money to help purchase items that may be needed and not donated.

 

More than 50 residents donated their time and man power in doing odd jobs; like driving trucks for home pick up, helping unload the trucks, handing out information packs while others may deliver food and beverages to workers around the site. There are many jobs that must be done on this day and to make sure all are kept safe, healthy, and warm.
